 Yokohama Stadium Guide

Just steps away from the JR Kannai Station, Yokohama Stadium are home to the Yokohama Bay Stars of the Central League. This circular stadium is located in Yokohama Park and adjacent to Chinatown. Yokohama Stadium is an outdoor venue but still has an artificial turf playing surface. A giant scoreboard in centerfield keeps fans updated on the action of the game.

What to See at the Ballpark

The ballpark is fairly simple with little to explore. You can walk around the concourse behind the infield if you have a grandstand ticket (The bleachers have a separate entrance). Before the game you can walk around inside the well landscaped Yokohama Park or through the neighboring Chinatown east of the stadium. During the game you can see the team’s mascot Hossy running around on the field or posing for pictures in the concourse area of the stadium. If you are bringing small children to the game, there is a child play area behind the home plate section underneath the Victory Café.

Getting to the Game

Yokohama Stadium is located next to the JR Kannai station as well as the Yokohama Subway Kannai station.  The stadium is just a short walk from each of these stations.  If you are staying Yokohama, you can also take a cab to the game if you are not staying near the stadium.  However, there are several hotel options located within just a few blocks of the stadium.
