Kyocera Dome Stadium Guide

A spaceship landed in Osaka and the Orix Buffaloes moved in and created a ballpark.  Not really, but that would be neat, right?  Opened in 1988, the Kyocera Dome Osaka can hold 36,100 people on a game day but that is a rare event.  The team has trouble drawing fans with the cross town Hashin Tigers being the main attraction in town.  However, the stadium is spacious and comfortable and the cheering section is lively.

What to See at the Ballpark

Outside of the stadium, underneath the main concourse, is a mall area with restaurants and shops including the team store.  If you want to watch the game and enjoy fine dining, the restaurants located around the outfield all offer seating which overlooks the field.  No ticket is required to sit and enjoy a meal and a ball game at these establishments.

Getting to the Game

The stadium is located away from the two main train stations in Osaka - JR Osaka Station and Shin-Osaka.   You can take a cab to the game or take the JR Osaka Loop Line.  Take the train to the Taisho Station and take the 10 minute walk from the station to the stadium.
